Diana Papili first appeared on the speaking platform at the age of 10 when she performed cooking demonstrations as a 4-H project. During her high school years, she produced and announced in a weekly, half-hour Junior Achievement radio program.
In college, Diana spoke on radio and appeared on television. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communications from Southern Illinois University with a minor in Theater.
Much of her professional background is in public speaking, writing, performing, advertising, marketing and human resources. Diana was the Advertising Manager for the largest savings bank in Nevada. She sold advertising for the most popular weekly-classified paper in Montana. And she was a human resources manager for a retail store that was part of a large chain. She has written scores of articles, newsletters and PR pieces for several non-profit organizations and served on the Executive Board of Directors of most of them. She ran a successful ho me-based business during her years as a stay-at-home mom.
She’s been a speech coach for political figures and successful business entrepreneurs. She’s an active member of Toastmasters International and has won first-place honors in district competitions. She has written and performed in award-winning local television and radio commercials.
She has a dynamic, down-to-earth, humorous speaking style. Her presentations are interactive, often involving relevant games, mixers and hands-on activities.
Diana has studied self-improvement, personal growth, psychology and philosophy all of her adult life. She has conducted workshops with the DiSC Profile system on Leadership and Team Building for over 5 years.
Diana and her family experienced a tragedy when his best friend and former business partner murdered her older brother. This set off a series of events in her personally as well as with her entire family that would change the course of their lives forever. Diana shares her journey overcoming this seemingly unbearable grief with her audiences in a unique workshop near and dear to her heart.
She is married and is the mother of a 25-year-old daughter, Amanda. She is passionate about long-distance bicycling, ballroom dancing, and yoga. She loves to go camping with her husband, David, and their dog, Cosmo, although they usually leave their cat, Destin, at home. Diana loves to ski on both the water and the snow, and is considered a bit of a health nut by most of her friends.
